Greetings everyone and welcome to my tent. Established in 2021, opening a thrift shop was not always a dream of mine. Imagine being a young child and being constantly forced to take a trip to the thrift store. Spending way too much time in a stuffy, dusty, second hand shop. My mother would patiently go down every isle. I grew impatient.

 

She would inspect every article of clothing for herself and I that deserved a second look, home décor deemed worthy to match the vibe of her living room, and anything else in between that could only be found there. I never understood her excitement, all I knew was the new clothes I inherited made me feel confident and in control.

 

As the years went on, I started making my own money and the mall was where I wanted to spend it. That fire slowly fizzed out. My eye for fashion began to grow, but I knew I needed more bang for my buck. So there I was willingly tagging along with my mother as she made her rounds around the city to different second hand shops. My hunger for different options in clothing was pleasantly satified as I filled my basket to the top with versatile pieces, that only cost half the amount of what I was use to paying for one or two items. At age 14 is when my passion for thrifting began to ignite like a camp fire. With an eye for the finer things, Tori’s Tent cuts out the middle man and saves time for those who feel like thrifting is a challenge.
